The 4PL Program and Operation Excellence Sr Manager, reports to the Director, 3PL/4PL Excellence play a pivotal role in leading and overseeing large-scale transportation initiatives within the Control Tower Organization. The scope includes managing Control Tower operations, contractual services, budget governance, and strategic supplier relationships. The role requires a strong foundation in contract and supplier relationship management, financial stewardship, and expertise in logistics & supply chain. Success in this position depends on the ability to engage, align, and influence a wide network of stakeholders (internal/external) across functions and regions. Fostering collaboration to drive execution and share outcomes is key. Strong cross-cultural, cross-functional Leadership, strategic thinking and communication are essential for this role.
Key responsibilities:- Program Management: Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of complex transportation programs, ensuring adherence to strategic metrics, timelines, budgets, alignment with business priorities, quality standards and service performance. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure program deliverables are met and appropriately communicated.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Manage relationships with Control Tower Service Provider as well as transportation service providers. Collaborate with vendors to establish strong partnerships, address performance issues, and drive continuous improvement. Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and evaluate supplier capabilities.
- Contract Stewardship: Monitor and ensure compliance with contractual obligations, including pricing, delivery terms, performance metrics and Quality deliverable. Ensure full compliance with Master Service Agreements obligations, including pricing, operational metrics, and partner with procurement to update terms as needed.
- Build and maintain strong strategic partnerships with key internal/external stakeholders, ensuring performance, innovation and value creation. Drive cross-functional collaborations by engaging and aligning stakeholders across supply chain, finance, procurement, and regional Transportation teams.
- Budgeting and Resource Management: Develop program budgets, monitor financials, and allocate resources effectively to support program objectives. Ensure resources are properly allocated and managed to optimize program outcomes.
- Risk Management: Identify and assess program risks, develop risk mitigation strategies, and implement contingency plans to minimize potential disruptions. Continuously monitor and evaluate risks throughout program lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years in transportation, logistics, or supply chain
- A minimum of bachelor's degree is required. Degrees in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field are preferred.
- Advanced degree in an applicable field of study or certification is preferred
- Strong understanding of contract management principles, legal terms, and negotiation strategies.
- Experience managing a global and multi-cultural team and overseeing contract management processes.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
- Knowledge of transportation logistics, supply chain operations, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent understanding of performance measurement and reporting techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers on Global environment.
- Project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and deliver results.
